SENIOR TAX ACCOUNTANT Summary : Our client is a full service public accounting firm based near Newport Beach. Their current business clients range from small startup companies to large publicly traded companies that are subject to Sarbanes-Oxley reporting requirements. Individual clients typically range in net-worth from $5 million to $1 billion and require much more planning and consulting from their CPA than the annual tax return. As part of their growth strategic plans, they are looking to fill an exceptional opportunity for a tax accountant in their growing tax practice. Candidates should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and have 2 to 5 years of public accounting experience. Public accounting experience and a CPA license are required for this position. Candidates should have the necessary experience in preparation and review of individual and business tax returns, be able to efficiently work in a team environment, and have the comprehensive skill set to supervise staff and perform research and analysis of tax issues. The firm serves a diverse client base, from high net worth individuals to a prestigious list of both public and private corporations. Experience with ASC 740 tax provisions, mergers and acquisitions, consolidated tax returns, multi-national tax filings, multi-state tax filings, tax credits, and personal income tax planning is preferred.
Responsibilities
Prepare and review individual and business tax returns. Supervise staff and perform research and analysis of tax issues. Work effectively in a team environment. Contribute to tax planning and consulting for high net worth and corporate clients. Engage in ASC 740 tax provisions, mergers and acquisitions support, and multi-jurisdictional filings as applicable.
Qualifications
2 to 5 years of public accounting experience. CPA license required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with preparation and review of individual and business tax returns. Ability to supervise staff and perform tax research and analysis. Experience with ASC 740, mergers and acquisitions, consolidated tax returns, multi-national and multi-state tax filings, tax credits, and personal income tax planning is preferred.
