Overview
Senior Product Manager - AI Developer Tools & SDK at Fivetran. The role focuses on owning the SDK portfolio that enables customers and partners to build on Fivetran’s data integration platform. The Connector SDK is a Python library for custom connectors; the Partner SDK enables partners to build connectors for Fivetran customers. What You'll Do
Strategy & roadmap – Prioritize features that reduce custom connector development time and expand SDK functionality and data movement options. Cross-functional leadership – Partner with Connector Engineering, Solutions Architects, Analytics, Support, and Marketing to launch and grow SDK features. Developer experience – Design intuitive code interfaces, align docs and code samples, and ensure first-run success. AI-assisted developer workflow – Integrate LLM-powered agents and coding copilots into the SDK tool-chain to shorten time-to-first-run and reduce error rates. Quality & compatibility – Define upgrade and rollout strategies to ensure uninterrupted operation and high reliability and performance. Adoption & community metrics – Track usage and engagement metrics and iterate with Developer Relations. Qualifications
PM experience delivering developer-facing products (SDKs, APIs, platforms) Hands-on experience with Python for data analysis and API integration Knowledge of container management/orchestration, CI/CD, Terraform, and orchestrators such as Airflow or Dagster Experience leveraging AI coding assistants to accelerate Python development and enforce best practices Proven track record shipping products for technical users with measurable results Strong customer empathy and ability to articulate customer problems Data-driven decision making and analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication Bonus Skills
Experience managing an open source project Familiarity with data-connector ecosystems Experience taking a 0-1 SDK to 10k+ weekly active developers History of working in a high-growth company Location & Employment Type
Full-time, hybrid position based out of Oakland, CA or Denver, CO. Hybrid work model includes two days in the office each week. Pay & Benefits
