Location: Anywhere in Country Healthcare Consulting – Patient Access - Manager. Today’s healthcare environment is rapidly changing. As a Manager in EY’s Health consulting practice, you’ll work with clients across the healthcare industry to transform operations and meet evolving demands. As part of EY’s Health consulting practice, you will work with clients across the country to solve complex problems in today’s healthcare environment. We are seeking a highly motivated Manager focused on provider operations, specifically patient access, to manage client engagement teams, work with a variety of clients to deliver professional services, and manage business development on strategic accounts. Responsibilities
Spend time on provider operations work with not-for-profit and for-profit healthcare clients (hospitals, systems, physician practices, academic medical centers) to assess and redesign clinical processes. Lead client engagements in provider operations with a focus on patient access; manage engagement teams; deliver services and manage business development on strategic/global accounts. Work with clients across areas including: operational improvement, benchmarking and financial quantification, cost reduction/revenue enhancement, workflow redesign, and patient access initiatives (template management, template optimization, scheduling algorithms). Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree with approximately 5 years of related work experience, or a master’s degree with approximately 4 years of related work experience. Approximately 4 years of healthcare consulting experience, preferably at manager level or higher, within a consulting firm or industry setting. Experience with patient access and centralized contact centers; ability to lead patient access initiatives including clinician management, template management/optimization, referral management, and scheduling algorithms in ambulatory settings. Experience with centralization of patient access functions, including contact center staffing models and technology for various engagement channels. Ability to read/interpret hospital financial statements and contracts, use complex financial models, map operational processes, and participate in cost reduction planning and implementation. Experience with healthcare M&A, physician alignment, or financial margin improvement initiatives; experience selling and delivering projects across the full lifecycle (assessment, design, implementation). Ability to generate revenue within existing clients and develop new prospects at the C-level of large healthcare organizations; ability to manage a team of staff/senior consultants; collaborative team player with strong communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel models, Visio scheduling/referral workflows, PowerPoint) and willingness to travel as needed. Skills And Attributes For Success
