We are currently seeking an Interior Designer to join our team. An Interior Designer interprets, organizes and executes the conceptual design of a project utilizing creativity, foresight and judgment to meet project requirements and objectives through project completion. Responsibilities

Conducts programming efforts such as space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings and equipment, lighting and color coordination. Develops innovative design concepts which are practical, aesthetic, safe and conducive to intended purposes and function which is reflective of client goals and within project budget. Implements all phases of a design project including contracts, budgeting, scheduling, planning, design, documentation, specifications and construction, including the selection and specification of furniture. Responsible for maintaining positive client relationships throughout project; keeps client apprised of progress and coordinates with other key project individuals. Responsible for selection and specification of furniture, lighting, flooring, wall coverings and artwork. Estimates material requirements and costs; solicits bids and assists Project Manager and client in subcontracting fabrication, installation, and arrangement of materials, finishes, and furnishings required. Keeps the project on schedule and communicates with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure information is incorporated into project requirements. Leads the Construction Administration phase, responds to RFIs and COs, reviews shop drawings and conducts field site reviews. Manages projects using Deltek Vision; develops work plans, identifies project team members, budget, consultants, schedule, fees, and labor costs; handles project change notices and financial outcomes. Implements and uses HOK Standards for all projects and ensures documentation complies with Technical Board standards. Incorporates Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects and fosters a green workplace through sustainable practices. Teamwork

Renders conceptual design ideas and prepares 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings. Prepares, corrects and updates documents during schematic design, design development and construction administration phases. Coordinates color and material palettes; assists with subcontracting fabrication, installation, and arrangement of materials, finishes, and furnishings required. Produces written project documentation using HOK standard formats; ensures adherence to building and ADA codes; coordinates with consultants, contractors, and other disciplines. May assist in design presentations and help keep project phases on schedule; may mentor junior staff and support team members as needed. Develops and maintains positive relationships with consultants, contractors and approval agencies; supports client service commitments. Client Interface

Represents client in obtaining bids and awarding construction contracts and may assist with negotiating fees and contracts. Staff Development

May mentor and direct the work of less experienced staff; may participate in interviews and recruiting of professional staff. Business Development

Identifies opportunities to add or enhance professional services with existing clients; participates in marketing and business development opportunities; assists in fee proposal development and may contribute to the interiors discipline business plan. Education & Experience

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design or foreign equivalent. 5+ years of interior design experience required. Must be a professional Interior Designer and have passed the NCIDQ exam. LEED credential required within 12 months of employment. Other

Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, education and location. The reasonable expected range for this position in Denver, Colorado is $70,000 to $90,000.
