Contributes to long-term program planning for innovation, scalability, and risk mitigation in the smart home space. Problem Solving & Adaptability: Navigates ambiguity and evolving program requirements; applies critical thinking to troubleshoot issues and propose practical solutions to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Team Support: Partners across internal teams to ensure smooth program delivery and ongoing feedback. Attention to Detail: Ensures accurate documentation of device offers, orders, and activation status to support program tracking. Smart Home Ecosystem Awareness (Preferred): Familiarity with smart home platforms and their role in proactive risk management. Job Summary

As a Consultant, you’ll develop new personal or commercial insurance products and enhancements to existing products. You will design, lead and implement all aspects of project work plans, including planning, communication, execution and completion, focusing on driving product growth and profitability. You may have responsibility for a single product line and will work with various areas across the organization regarding product and pricing features. Key Responsibilities

Lead new business development and implementation projects; provide leadership to product design and management; recommend improvements based on in-depth knowledge. Develop and implement strategic business rules; review pricing and features; partner with underwriting to develop standards. Drive initiatives related to growth and profitability; coordinate product strategy with sales, agency management, field product and marketing. Develop and control timelines; reassess risks; adjust plans to align with strategy. Analyze market information on competitors and identify product opportunities. Coordinate, develop, and implement new product training. Manage internal/external resources, budgeting and cost containment. Provide market analysis tools and data; conduct national product analysis on performance, profitability, and competition; design forecasting models. Guide exploration and evaluation of new product performance tools and technology enhancements; ensure quality of rate changes and system improvements. Lead rate review, filing and communication for new initiatives; ensure underwriting guidelines align with rate changes. Design and implement state-level product strategy and communication plans. Collaborate across business partners to develop cross-functional knowledge in claims, sales, marketing, pricing, operations, underwriting and finance; act as a mentor to partners. May Perform Other Responsibilities As Assigned. Reporting Relationships:

Reports to Director/Officer. May have direct or indirect reports. Qualifications & Experience

Education:

Undergraduate studies in insurance, actuarial science, mathematics, risk management, product management, finance, business administration or related field. MBA preferred. License/Certification/Designation:

Insurance licenses or designations such as CPCU, ACAS, ARM, FLMI, NASD; Project Management Certification preferred. Experience:

Six years of experience in personal/commercial lines insurance, financial services, marketing or communications including two years of product management experience. Managerial experience preferred. Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

Strong knowledge of property and casualty insurance products, analytical tools, underwriting policies, pricing and financial analysis. Excellent relationship-building, project management, negotiation, data quality and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to present to technical personnel and customers. Able to work in a high-demand environment and adjust to priorities. Other:
