We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Civil Engineer with a proven track record in large-scale EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) projects within the metals and minerals sector. The successful candidate will lead civil engineering execution, providing technical direction and oversight across design, procurement, and construction phases for world-class smelters, refineries, and industrial plants.

Senior/Lead Civil Engineer Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide leadership and technical authority for civil/structural engineering across multi-billion-dollar EPC projects. Oversee preparation, review, and approval of engineering deliverables including designs, calculations, specifications, and construction documents. Drive coordination with multidisciplinary engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure alignment with project goals. Manage subcontractors and consultants, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule compliance. Serve as primary civil engineering interface with clients and stakeholders. Lead resolution of technical issues during construction, installation, and commissioning. Ensure the highest standards of HSE, constructability, and quality across all civil works.

Senior/Lead Civil Engineer Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred). 15+ years’ experience in civil/structural engineering, with at least 8 years leading EPC projects in the metals/minerals sector. Expertise in foundations, concrete and steel structures, heavy industrial earthworks, and geotechnical design. Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, Tekla Structures or similar. Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.

Senior/Lead Civil Engineer Physical Demands

Primarily office-based with extended computer use. Occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Periodic site visits may expose the employee to noise, dust, weather conditions, and construction hazards. Personal protective equipment may be required during site visits.
