Volunteer with Clothing with Purpose
A Program of Presbyterian Social Ministries (PSMJax)
Clothing with Purpose is a program of
Presbyterian Social Ministries (PSMJax) , a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving those in need across Northeast Florida. Through this initiative, we collect and distribute new and gently used clothing to individuals and families in need by partnering with schools, churches, and other nonprofit agencies in the tri-county area and beyond. Volunteer Role: Clothing Sorter Volunteers are essential to our mission. As a Clothing Sorter, you’ll help
sort, inspect, and fold
donated clothing by gender, size, type, and season. Each item is carefully reviewed to ensure it's clean, appropriate, and ready to be given to someone in need. After sorting and boxing, the clothing is distributed to our trusted community partners. Last year, thanks to the commitment of volunteers, we distributed over
180,000 items of clothing , many of them brand new. What We’re Looking For: Our greatest need is for
recurring volunteers
who can commit their time consistently. While one-time volunteers are welcome, ongoing help allows us to keep up with the daily flow of donations and distribution needs. Volunteer Details: Volunteer Hours:
Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Tuesdays are typically very full and not ideal for new volunteer scheduling.) We are not open for volunteering on Fridays or weekends.
