HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance Technician in the manufacturing industry!
Salary:
$20 - $26/hour
Shift:
6:00 AM 6:00 PM, FridaySunday (Work 36 hours, get paid for 40!)
Location:
Otter Tail County
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance and preventive maintenance on equipment in a safe and timely manner.
Use proper hand tools and operate power tools such as grinders, welders, drills, and saws.
Work with alignment equipment and dial indicators.
Lubricate and adjust equipment per manufacturer recommendations.
Troubleshoot and document equipment malfunctions.
Conduct performance checks on scales, flow sensors, and related systems.
Perform safety inspections on hoists, lifts, ladders, ropes, cords, and chains.
Support additional facility areas when needed.
Train new departmental employees.
May be required to obtain a boiler license.
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Mechanical aptitude with strong maintenance skills and basic computer proficiency.
Comfortable working at heights (up to 150 feet) and using manlifts.
Experience in metal fabrication/welding (TIG, wirefeed, stick), with various metals such as mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum; silver soldering and brazing a plus.
Familiarity with power transmission equipment, including bearings, seals, belts, gearboxes, and equipment alignment.
Ability to handle up to 100 lbs and lift 50 lbs routinely.
Forklift operation and certification required.
Willingness to work shifts, take emergency call-ins, and attend required training.
Strong safety record, positive attitude, and effective teamwork and communication skills.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
