Overview
Vice President of Marketing at Colorado Credit Union oversees Marketing, Business Development, and Community Impact. The primary objective is to increase member loyalty and grow market share by developing and executing strategic and tactical plans that align with the credit union’s mission and business goals. Through data-driven decision making, relationship-building, and brand development, this role ensures that all initiatives across these functions contribute to the credit union’s long-term success, visibility, and community presence. Responsibilities
Uphold CCU's core values: Be the Advocate, Embrace Curiosity, and Be Compassionate. Drive growth in membership, loans, deposits and other products and services through data-driven marketing. Deepen relationships by increasing products and services with existing members. Develop and execute marketing strategies, including competitive analysis, pricing, distribution planning, and budget management. Design and implement marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and grow market share. Oversee all advertising and promotional efforts, including graphic design, creation of marketing collateral, and branded merchandise. Conduct market research to identify trends, member needs, and opportunities for product and service enhancements. Lead digital marketing efforts using the website, social media, SEO, and CRM tools to boost online visibility and member engagement. Plan and manage special events, including logistics and execution. Develop and administer member service surveys, analyze feedback, and present insights to senior leadership. Advise management on market conditions, competitor activity, and emerging trends; recommend strategic adjustments to maintain competitive advantage. Continually update and increase industry and job-related knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, building personal networks, and participating in professional organizations. Uphold all service standards and ensure confidentiality as outlined in the credit union’s policies and procedures. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Business Development
Develop plans to increase brand awareness, improve member loyalty, and expand market share. Guide Business Development Specialist in driving membership, loan and deposit growth by targeting high-potential employer groups, community organizations, and local businesses. Create presentations that convert prospects into Employee Sponsor Groups (SEGs) and new individual members. Cultivate strong relationships with SEGs and small local businesses to promote the credit union and increase business opportunities. Utilize CRM and data analytics to identify growth opportunities, enhance member engagement, and support strategic initiatives. Identify and prospect new potential business partner opportunities, fostering mutually beneficial relationships. Direct sales coordination activities to facilitate successful prospecting and networking with new and existing members. Community Impact
Lead and work with the Community Impact Manager to identify strategic priorities, program/initiative focus areas, and organizational goals on a quarterly basis. Guide all efforts related to the CCU Foundation, and assist in developing fundraising efforts. Ensure all community initiatives reflect and reinforce the credit union’s core values and mission of serving members and improving financial well-being. Build relationships with local nonprofits, schools, businesses, and civic organizations to enhance the credit union’s impact, reputation, and visibility. Develop and lead strategies for community outreach, financial literacy, financial inclusion, and philanthropic initiatives that align with the credit union’s mission and values. Provide oversight on community initiatives to assess effectiveness and guide future efforts. Knowledge, Skill, and Ability
Proven ability to develop and execute marketing and business development strategies, including campaigns, advertising, digital presence, relationship-building, and event planning. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, etc.). Experience with social media platforms and tools, including Facebook, Google AdWords, Google Analytics, X, etc. Familiar with MCIF and CRM software (Hubspot/Synapsys) preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present proposals to groups of senior leadership, business partners, and community stakeholders. Strong organizational and project management skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field. Seven+ years of experience in marketing, business development, or a relevant field. Work Environment and Benefits
