Vosges Haut-Chocolat is seeking a Production Manager to oversee the Production Department, including all activities and personnel, related to producing and assembling WIP and Finished Goods in an SQF certified Food Manufacturing Plant. The role focuses on applying production best practices, optimizing space and resources, and ensuring high quality standards in alignment with Customer and Company expectations.
Base pay range

Production Execution – Oversee all activities within the Production Department, ensuring product is produced and assembled per Production/Assembly Schedule, meeting Company and Customer high Quality standards; investigate and provide root cause/corrective action for Production non-conforming practices and materials, collaborating with Quality on potential material holds; prioritize and reassign responsibilities as needed to ensure key activities are accomplished; provide insight for most efficient practices and required resources for future projects Production Programs – Implement and monitor Food Safety and Personnel Safety programs as they pertain to Production including Sanitation best practices; develop and revise Production Procedures, observing workers to ensure compliance with standard; oversee Production output confirmation, KPIs and scrap reporting; maintain budgets related to labor and other costs impacted by Production, providing supporting data and documentation as requested; ensure execution of floor Master Sanitation Schedule tasks Production Management – Develop and cultivate a safe, healthy, and positive environment; ensure all personnel safety rules are being followed, including accident reporting; directly supervise Production Supervisors and manage all members of the Production Department including oversight of labor resources, addressing attendance and performance issues as needed, growth and development opportunities, and hiring of necessary personnel Cross-Department Collaboration – R&D, Quality/FS: develop work instructions, identify CI opportunities and align training plans for new and ongoing projects to meet Company, Customer and Regulatory expectations; Engineering/Maintenance: identify inefficient processes and equipment failures, align on corrections for optimal performance of equipment and product flows; Procurement/Production Planning: align on required time, labor and most efficient processes needed to meet sales and forecasting needs Corporate – Attend necessary meetings as requested, including but not limited to Daily Ops, Production Scheduling, GMP Walks, Food Safety Team; provide insight into Production needs and best practices Perform additional projects/duties as requested Qualifications/Desired Characteristics
Previous Production or Manufacturing Management experience within Food/Beverage or similarly regulated industry Fluent in Spanish preferred Ability to work in an MRP System to maintain accurate Production related records Required to lift up to 35 lbs Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility Must be able to stand for long periods of time Proficient in MS Excel Sincere commitment to work collaboratively with all departments and employees Deadline driven and detail-oriented with high level of organizational skills Food Safety Responsibilities
Member of the Food Safety Team, attending scheduled meetings Ensure Production documentation is being accurately and fully completed to support Process, Allergen, Sanitation and Traceability programs Ensure Production Team is following necessary GMPs, safe food handling and storage practices, Sanitation practices and related SQF/regulatory requirements Oversee execution of Food Safety Plan Preventative Controls: PAA Sanitizer Dip (PPC-2), Metal Detection (PPC-3). Label Verification – Packaging (APC-2), and Line Clearance/Changeovers (SPC-1) Oversee execution of HACCP Plan Critical Control Points: Bacon Cooking and Cooling (CCP-1, CCP-2) What you can expect from Vosges Haut-Chocolat
