Overview Creative Director CRM

We are seeking an experienced Creative Director to join our Promotions Loyalty and Messaging team at Merkle. Reporting to the Group Creative Director you will create digital first data-driven work across messaging channels including email, push, in-app experiences, loyalty-led promotions and gamification while satisfying the branding requirements of our clients across industries.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in UI design or Copywriting with a proven track record of leading projects, creating innovative and consumer-first experiences and driving creative excellence. This role is hands-on and requires exceptional people management skills and creative direction across copywriting, art direction, motion design and user experience.

You will help our clients navigate the digital messaging landscape through platform knowledge, best practices and the power of storytelling.

Responsibilities

Work with the team to produce best-in-class experiences across CRM channels including email, SMS, MMS, Push, integrated with experiential promotions, gamification and loyalty programs.

Lead the creation of custom design systems as well as utilize and scale existing client design systems.

Support creative work partnered with Strategy and Analytics teams using insights including customer feedback, quantitative data and usability findings.

Work with cross-functional teams and leaders to ensure user adoption and client satisfaction.

Be a trusted creative voice for accounts and develop good relationships with clients.

Demonstrate to clients that you understand their challenges and respond to their creative and strategic requirements.

Mentor direct reports and create a supportive culture.

Oversee that creative choices relate to messaging strategies, elevate the quality of the work and meet client objectives while achieving financial objectives.

Be a go-to client-facing voice, nurture client relationships, present and sell creative concepts and act as a liaison between client and creative teams.

Qualifications

10 years of experience or equivalent experience.

4 years of experience in a creative leadership capacity.

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, digital design, copywriting or related field.

Experience utilizing a variety of technology platforms and media channels (ESPs such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Braze; Creative collaboration software such as Figma).

Understanding of Experience Design and the role creative plays in achieving its outcomes.

A portfolio with exemplifying excellent, compelling ideas and solid usability.

Digital interactive and customer experience agency or consultancy experience desired.

Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to facilitate client meetings and lead presentations.

Strong team leadership and mentoring skills; able to inspire collaboration.

Knowledge of Email Service Providers (ESPs such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze) as well as creative collaboration software such as Figma.

Genuine passion and excitement for consumer engagement and desire to create specific brand outcomes.

Additional Information The anticipated base salary range for this position is $94,000 - $152,375. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
