Overview

Brookdale is seeking an Executive Director to support Brookdale Gardens at Westlake, a 95 apartment assisted living community. In this role you will be responsible for the day to day operations, maintaining occupancy and monthly financial performance, and supervising staff while fostering positive working relationships with residents, resident family members, and employees. Lead the day-to-day operations of the community, interacting with staff, residents, prospects, and family members as necessary. Develop and execute the business plan; manage annual operating and capital budgets; monitor performance against goals and implement plans to meet Company standards. Build and maintain strong working relationships with the management team; empower department leaders to supervise, direct, and motivate staff; ensure adequate staffing levels and regulatory compliance. Attract, develop, engage, and retain associates; oversee hiring, training, development plans, disciplinary actions, and promotions; monitor turnover and retention. Maintain high resident satisfaction and retention; address resident and family concerns; collaborate with Resident Council; administer surveys and develop improvement plans. Collaborate with clinical leaders to ensure care services meet residents’ needs; oversee admission processes, healthcare management, and resident documentation. Demonstrate financial acumen by managing budgets and driving revenue and occupancy goals; implement strategies to respond to variances. Drive sales and marketing efforts in collaboration with the community sales leader to meet occupancy and revenue targets; engage with prospective residents and families. Build relationships with local influencers and participate in community activities; represent the community to governmental and professional organizations. Ensure buildings and property meet Company standards through oversight of maintenance programs and inspections; enforce Company policies and licensing requirements. Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s Degree required; minimum of three years of operational leadership experience. Additional years may substitute for education. Senior Living experience required. Understanding of hiring, training, evaluating, motivating, and disciplining personnel. Business development, sales, and marketing experience. Ability to multi-task and be flexible; excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong working knowledge of technology; proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic documentation. Education, Certifications & Requirements

Must have a valid administrator license in states where required; valid driver’s license and access to a private vehicle for business use. Management & Skills

Strong analytic skills; ability to lead the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of resident care, marketing, food service, housekeeping, and maintenance units in accordance with Company policies and applicable laws. Ability to delegate and manage multiple tasks; sound judgment and problem-solving abilities; ability to drive results. Physical Demands & Working Conditions

Standing, walking, sitting; use of hands; reach with arms; stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; vision requirements. Interaction with co-workers, residents, or vendors; occasional weekend/evening/night work for shift coverage; on-call as needed. Full-time associates in this role are eligible for an annual bonus incentive and sales referral bonuses.
