The Plant Director leads, develops, and implements strategies to manage and optimize resources (people, materials, equipment, money and time) used to transform and produce Dawn Foods products. The role ensures customer expectations for quality, volume, cost, and timing are met and that business results are aligned with Dawn Foods goals. Work Environment & Travel
On-site at the Louisville Manufacturing Plant with up to 10% travel required. Relocation assistance is available for non-local candidates. Responsibilities
Actively manage industrial safety in the plant and warehouses to guarantee a safe environment for all team members and reduce accidents Manage security at Dawn sites and protect Dawn's assets Oversee environmental sustainability and regulatory compliance Lead food safety to prevent deviations and ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, BRC, and Dawn Quality System Oversee product quality to ensure consistent design replication and a positive customer experience Ensure successful government, certification, and customer audits Guarantee production schedules are met in time and volume to protect service and cost Maintain equipment, facilities, and Dawn assets for productivity Manage inventory levels and warehouses to optimize service and cash flow Participate in capital investments and ensure timely, on-budget execution Drive continuous improvement to enhance safety, quality, output, and cost toward World Class Manufacturing standards Coordinate a team with clear objectives and values for collaboration Support training and development with the People Team to enhance performance Collaborate with People and Compensation teams on hiring, promotions, and compensation decisions in line with policy Work with R&D and Marketing to create and launch new products Promote Dawn philosophies and the Circle of Excellence Plan and share site information; KPI reporting, budgets, and project control Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or minimum 14 years of equivalent experience Master’s degree preferred Six Sigma Green Belt preferred Food science background preferred Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing plant, preferably in food/bakery Experience in a unionized environment preferred Operational knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP or ability to learn Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills Analytical, time management, and servant leadership skills Experience with GMPs, BRC, HACCP, USDA guidelines, OSHA, and plant safety programs Track record of continuous improvement and cost control Physical Demands & Work Environment
