About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Director of Federal Sales
to lead our growth strategy within the U.S. Federal Government sector, with a primary focus on the
Department of Defense (DoD) ,
Civilian Agencies , and
FedRAMP-authorized opportunities . This role is responsible for driving revenue, building executive relationships, and expanding our footprint across the federal landscape. The ideal candidate is a senior sales leader with deep expertise navigating the federal procurement cycle, strong relationships within DoD and civilian agencies, and a track record of success in selling complex cybersecurity or SaaS solutions to the federal government. Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive federal sales strategy targeting DoD, Civilian, and FedRAMP-authorized markets Own the entire federal sales cycle—from prospecting to closing—including capture strategy, proposal development, and negotiations. Build and maintain senior-level relationships within federal agencies, including contracting officers, program managers, and decision-makers. Collaborate closely with marketing, product, legal, and delivery teams to ensure alignment with federal requirements, including compliance with FedRAMP, CMMC, and other regulatory frameworks. Develop pipeline growth strategies and accurate forecasting for the federal sector. Provide leadership, mentorship, and coaching to federal account executives and support teams. Lead account planning, territory management, and opportunity qualification. Maintain expert knowledge of the federal procurement process, including GWACs, IDIQs, BPAs, and sole-source pathways. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and federal trade shows. Requirements
10+ years of sales experience within the U.S. Federal Government sector, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Skilled in MEDDPIC and Value Selling frameworks. Proven track record of selling cybersecurity, SaaS, or enterprise software solutions to federal agencies. Deep knowledge of federal procurement processes, contract vehicles, and compliance requirements Strong leadership, coaching, and people development skills. Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles. Experience working in or with companies that operate within the FedRAMP ecosystem. What we have to offer
