Job Summary: The purpose of the

Executive Director

position is to direct the overall operation of the facility in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

A current and valid state Nursing Home Administrator license is required.

Thorough knowledge of applicable state/federal regulations regarding nursing home operations is necessary.

A BS/BA degree, or equivalent experience in healthcare administration, is preferred.

Minimum of one-year as an Administrator/Executive Director overseeing a SNF.

Ability to effectively communicate, direct, and delegate tasks.

Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Essential Functions:

Ensure facility compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Oversee the implementation of policies and procedures that reflect the goals of the facility and administrative team.

Conduct routine rounds to ensure high-quality patient care, safety, and environment maintenance.

Recruit, select, and train competent staff and supervisors.

Hold weekly meetings with department supervisors to review issues, expenses, and operations.

Develop and maintain optimal patient census levels.

Ensure compliance with Patients' Bill of Rights.

Assist in preparing the annual operating budget and meet financial expectations.

Maintain accurate financial records and submit reports to authorities.

Represent the facility in dealings with outside agencies and vendors.

Authorize major equipment and supplies purchases.

Maintain physical assets and inventories.

Implement therapeutic, recreational, and rehabilitative programs.

Meet nutritional needs of patients and provide ancillary services.

Maintain records for reimbursement programs.

Manage community relations and ensure quality assurance meetings are held.

Promote a respectful and dignified working environment.

Review and update policies and disaster preparedness plans annually.

Conduct employee evaluations and enforce policies on abuse prevention.

Serve as Abuse Prevention Coordinator and ensure patient safety.

Perform other duties as directed by Regional Director of Operations.
