The Wing Luke Museum is the premier pan-Asian Pacific American museum in the United States, dedicated to preserving and sharing the histories, cultures, and art of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (AANHPI). Through immersive storytelling, exhibitions, and community-driven programs, the Museum fosters cross-cultural understanding that advances racial and social equity. The Leadership Opportunity: The next Executive Director will be the Museum\'s chief executive, reporting to the Co-Presidents and Board of Trustees, responsible for visionary leadership, financial stewardship, and operational excellence to keep Wing Luke Museum a vibrant, mission-driven institution dedicated to uplifting the stories and experiences of AANHPI communities. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Organizational Vision: Develop and implement an inspired forward-thinking vision that elevates the Museum\'s mission and expands its impact as a community-based cultural institution. Strategic Plan & Policy Direction: Guide and implement a strategic plan in collaboration with staff, the Board, and community partners. Program Development & Exhibitions: Lead new program development while maintaining excellence of existing exhibitions and initiatives aligned with community needs. Racial Equity & Social Justice: Ensure that equity and justice remain central to mission, storytelling, and operations. National & Local Leadership: Strengthen the Museum\'s position as a local and national leader in AANHPI arts, history, and community advocacy, while maintaining a nationally-recognized model for community engagement. Advisory Committee Process: Oversee CAC processes and stakeholder engagement. Organizational Culture & Engagement: Foster an inclusive, transparent, mission-driven workplace that values collaboration, equity, and professional growth. Communication & Staff Engagement: Implement strategies to ensure open dialogue, staff participation, and alignment with organizational values. Financial Sustainability & Fundraising Leadership: Ensure the long-term financial health of the Museum (e.g., oversight of operating budgets), lead major fundraising efforts, diversify revenue streams, and apply strong financial acumen to data-driven decisions. Community Engagement & Public Advocacy: Build authentic relationships with AANHPI communities, C-ID partners, civic leaders, and cultural institutions; advance social justice and inclusive representation through partnerships with a broad range of communities. Staff Leadership & Development: Lead and support a senior leadership team and staff; provide mentorship and professional development; champion ethical leadership and a respectful workplace. Board Governance & Strategic Partnerships: Partner with the Board to set goals, engage in fundraising, and strengthen external partnerships with civic, business, and nonprofit leaders. Public Representation & Museum Advocacy: Serve as the primary spokesperson, representing the Museum in media and public forums, and articulating the Museum\'s mission to inspire donors, partners, and the public. Communication & Cultural Authenticity: Communicate with authenticity, humility, and integrity; foster trust across staff, Board, and diverse communities. Candidate Profile

The Executive Director will be a visionary, equity-driven leader with deep understanding of AANHPI history and cultural preservation. They will honor the Seattle Chinatown-International District\'s legacy while serving a broader national audience, champion community priorities, and foster authentic, trust-based relationships with residents, grassroots leaders, and partner organizations. The candidate will be skilled at strategic visioning, change management, inclusive management, and capacity building, with a track record of fundraising and financial stewardship. Compensation and Benefits

Target salary range: $180,000 to $230,000, with a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, retirement, 401(k), and professional development opportunities. Contact and Application
