The Office of Cannabis Management is currently seeking to hire a Compliance Supervisor to supervise roughly 8 compliance and enforcement staff, each for the department. The department handles inspection and enforcement activities to ensure cannabis businesses comply with applicable laws, rules, and regulations. This position is located in St. Paul and may telework from home two days per week and is expected to be in the office three days per week. Responsibilities

Provide leadership and administrative direction to staff so they can successfully perform their responsibilities, meet program goals and requirements, and provide a high level of customer service Oversee compliance and enforcement of cannabis businesses with state laws and related OCM policies, procedures, and regulations Plan, implement, direct, and evaluate continuous improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, consistency, fairness, and transparency Provide direction and assist in creating new enforcement policies and procedures, technology solutions and workflow management Manage purchasing, budgets, training, and hiring for regional unit Minimum Qualifications

To facilitate proper years of service crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month and year for each job held. Three years of experience performing inspections or compliance and enforcement activities for a county, state, or federal regulatory program Supervisory or lead worker experience OR completion of the State’s Emerging Leaders Institute (ELI), Senior Leadership Institute (SLI), Strategic Effectiveness for Aspiring Leaders (SEAL), or similar leadership development program OR a paid or unpaid position leading a program or chairing a committee (leading a program or chairing a committee must include 1+ years of identifying issues, goals, and strategic actions and 100+ hours per year time commitment) Ability to celebrate diversity and a strong commitment to a respectful and inclusive work environment Communication skills sufficient to effectively deliver complex information to a variety of audiences A valid driver’s license and ability to occasionally travel to various locations throughout the State Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of MN cannabis laws and regulations Experience in the cannabis, hemp, or other county, state, or federally regulated industry Experience with laboratory testing Experience drafting policies, procedures, rules, etc. Public Sector supervisory experience Additional Requirements
