Job Description
This role requires expertise in Department of Defense (DoD) program support, acquisition processes, and workflow improvement. The ideal candidate will have 8–12 years of experience supporting defense programs, particularly within acquisition or sustainment environments, and will be capable of working closely with senior government staff to deliver high-quality analytical and operational support. This is a senior-level role supporting SAF/AQ at the Pentagon. The position involves tracking program activities, improving internal workflows, developing briefings, managing reporting tools, and assisting with strategic initiatives across the acquisition lifecycle. Responsibilities
Provide direct support to program offices in planning, tracking, and executing acquisition and sustainment efforts Assist in the development and refinement of processes, templates, and reporting tools for more efficient program execution Use tools like Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and PowerPoint to manage workflows, schedules, and performance data Support the preparation of acquisition documentation, reports, and briefings for senior Air Force leadership Track milestones, deliverables, and risk indicators to support program reviews and decision-making Collaborate with SAF/AQ personnel, Program Executive Offices (PEOs), and external stakeholders to coordinate data and resolve issues Maintain awareness of evolving DoD acquisition policies, reporting structures, and compliance requirements Analyze existing processes and recommend improvements to increase transparency and efficiency across SAF/AQ programs Qualifications and Requirements
Education: MA/MS degree (or substitutions: 12 years relevant work experience may be substituted for a MA/MS degree; BA/BS with 8 years relevant work experience may be substituted) Years of Experience: 10+ years Travel: other SAF/AQ facilities within the NCR Security Clearance Required: TS/SCI or Secret (TS/SCI preferred) Certifications: PMP or DAWIA Level II preferred Location
