Supplier Quality Engineer II at Parker Hannifin. Responsibilities
Implement the Supplier aspects of the Quality Management System to ensure effective production, measurement and maintenance of a supply base, with metrics for defective/rejected parts and delivery performance. Collaborate with internal team members, outside suppliers and customers; participate on and lead cross-functional teams. Collect data, establish facts, define problems, and draw valid conclusions for issues identified within the supply chain. Address deficiencies in the Suppliers' Performance Rating related to quality, performance and delivery; issue follow-up reports and corrective action reports; close nonconformance issues. Utilize lean manufacturing, error proofing and continuous improvement initiatives to develop robust processes that ensure quality products and services. Communicate effectively in oral and written form with team members, suppliers and customers. Ensure timely disposition of nonconforming material; work with Quality Engineering to establish receiving inspection and supplier inspection plans. Coordinate with suppliers on initiatives relating to supplier quality performance; track trends and perform quality trend analysis; facilitate corrective actions as appropriate. Ensure compliance to the Supplier Quality Manual and supplier quality requirements; revise and implement changes and roll them out at supplier locations. Participate in supplier reviews and provide input to Purchasing, Quality and Engineering on supplier quality and flow-downs. Perform Supplier Quality System Initial Audits and Surveillance Audits as required. Travel up to 25-50% domestically and internationally as needed. Qualifications
Knowledge of technical procedures, specifications, standards, and related engineering/manufacturing documents. Thorough knowledge of quality inspection and quality engineering techniques, and general business operations. Ability to solve problems and implement continuous improvement using Six Sigma methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, Lean, DMAIC) and tools (e.g., ANOVA, SPC, Capability Analysis, DOE, MSA, FMEA). Proficiency with standard business software and data analysis tools. Preferred certifications: ISO Lead Auditor, ASQ Certification, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, ISO Internal Auditor. Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or related discipline. 3+ years of functional experience (e.g., Supplier Quality, Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering). Compensation & Benefits
