America's second oldest horse racing track, the Fair Grounds has been a New Orleans staple since 1852. We are a premiere entertainment venue presenting thoroughbred & exotic animal races, slots, video poker and simulcasting year-round. Located in New Orleans, Fair Grounds operates a slot-machine gaming facility and 13 off-track betting parlors throughout southeast Louisiana.
Job Summary Responsible for the management and supervision of areas impacting the Environmental Protection Agency Rules and Guidelines. Will be responsible for supervising Code Enforcement Officers who will be performing a variety of code enforcement duties to support the Fair Grounds Nutrient Management Plan as it pertains to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rules.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Reporting violations on hazardous conditions, safety and sanitation and health issues.
Responding to complaints of rule violations and performing other enforcement duties as assigned.
Enforcing EPA rules as it pertains to the Fair Grounds Nutrient Management Plan.
Group that actively patrols the Fair Grounds property.
Reporting violations and recommending corrective action when necessary.
Issuing warnings and citations as necessary to address rule issues or violations.
Responding to complaints of rule violations.
Must have knowledge of how to work iPad technology.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Skills And Abilities
Must be 21 years or older.
Must be able to obtain a Gaming and Racing License from the Louisiana Racing Commission.
Education And Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory capacity in the Security field preferred.
Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily, define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret instructions and deal with several variables; read, analyze and interpret common documentation.
Ability to respond to inquiries from employees, regulatory agencies or staff; write and present information to management.
Ability to perform normal mathematical computations and to follow directions carefully; work independently.
Knowledge of Company practices and procedures; effective conflict resolution and professional interpersonal skills.
Ability to withstand working outside in extreme weather conditions.
