This role is part of Parametric's hybrid working model, which requires working in the office 3 days a week and remotely the remaining days of the week. The Team The Business Data Solutions team sits within Operations and is responsible for ensuring that data being sourced for critical business functions is available and fit for purpose. This team coordinates the onboarding of external index data and leads the process to ensure this data is available on time and with good quality. The team also includes data analysts who support critical projects and ensure data is understood and documented prior to being integrated into key business processes. This team is expected to work with internal and third party vendors that are deemed strategic and critical to the business' functioning, such as Markit EDM, IMS, RIMES, APX, BMM, and other key systems. The Role The Senior Data Integration Analyst is responsible for executing analysis on Index and Market data, engaging with data engineers within the Technology team, and supporting our internal stakeholders to ensure successful integration of data into business processes using internal and third-party vendor platforms and data. This individual will interact primarily with the Portfolio Management team to help field index data questions. This role combines technical analysis, stakeholder management and SME-level market data support. Primary Responsibilities Responsible for executing data analysis and integration, including coordinating requirements, documenting analysis, and recommending solutions. Responsible for working with the firm’s external index and market data providers in partnership with Morgan Stanley to ensure firm requirements are captured and communicated, and that service levels and SLA’s are monitored and escalated. Expected to be a hands-on subject matter expert, driving or overseeing implementation and configuration work to creatively solve problems and enable strategic objectives Be the main point of contact for index related questions from internal stakeholders, especially the Portfolio Management team Expected to collaborate with teams across the firm to ensure business needs and user requirements are documented and managed. Able to operate independently with minimal oversight Support process definition and implementations to support Parametric’s Portfolio Management team usage of benchmark and index data, including the daily benchmark data ingestion process. Participate in key discussions with our internal clients on implementation engagement definition, design, tracking and execution Develop a working relationship with senior stakeholders to support the implementation and adoption of new processes Act as the subject matter expert in critical market data sets and associated processes. This includes security and benchmark data in particular, and other key data sets as opportunity arises. Act as backup for the daily processing of index data. Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree required/Master’s degree preferred A minimum of 3+ years of experience in Data Analysis, Strategy, Business Analysis and/or System analysis Demonstrated ability to articulate and execute on solutions to meet business requirements Advanced skills using a variety of tools to document workflows and data mapping including but not limited to Excel, SQL, diagramming tools (e.g. Visio), and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau) Experience using data workflow tools such as Alteryx is a plus Understanding of analysis and artifact goals throughout the solution lifecycle Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience working with financial index data is preferred Ability to learn quickly and work in a changing environment and under tight deadlines Ability to independently manage personal timelines and meet tight deadlines Ability to successfully manage and coordinate simultaneous project deliverables across groups and teams Morgan Stanley believes each member of our organization makes a significant contribution to our success.
