CARB-X is seeking a Salesforce Administrator and Business Analyst with 4+ years of experience to facilitate all aspects of user enablement. This position provides tier 1 support to internal and external platform users, contributes to new Salesforce development, and conducts requirements gathering, testing, and documentation management. The role supports the Software Development Life Cycle and can be entirely virtual but must be able to work at least partially in ET and CET time zones.

Responsibilities

Business analysis:

Document business processes and technical training across CARB-X functional areas, including application and invoice intake and review, project and portfolio management, financial management, external reporting requirements, conflicts of interest disclosures, external affairs, and communications. Meet with business users at all levels to define and document requirements. Estimate scope and effort and translate into technical requirements.

Technical support:

Provide tier 1 support for end-users on Salesforce and integrations (Formstack, Box). Support users on other CARB-X platforms (Box, Slack, Asana, Tableau) including user provisioning and onboarding. Communicate with 3rd-party vendor support teams and BU IS&T to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Development:

Build and deploy declarative Salesforce solutions (layouts, approval processes, reports, dashboards, permission sets, objects/fields, flows). Manage user provisioning including migration from profiles to permission sets. Perform QA testing and lead user-acceptance testing. Help minimize technical debt and adhere to best practices and design standards.

Testing:

Define success criteria and perform manual testing on Salesforce and integrations to ensure releases stability. Guide users through user-acceptance testing, document results, and validate fixes.

Required Skills

4+ years of Salesforce Administrator experience.

Salesforce Administrator and Platform App Builder certifications or commitment to obtain within 6 months of employment.

Strong aptitude for technical skill development and ability to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.

Strong time-management, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects independently.

Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Works independently and takes initiative.

Preferred Skills

Experience working with a remote, dispersed workforce in different time zones.

Familiarity with Box, Slack, and Asana.
