Overview
Regional Director, Enterprise at Bentley Systems. Location: Home-based, Western USA. This role focuses on leading a team to drive enterprise sales and adoption of Bentley’s digital solutions. Responsibilities
Lead a team of account managers to meet and exceed planned sales goals and quotas by helping them overcome obstacles to building pipelines and closing business. Develop a long-term strategic business plan to deliver growth targets aligned with corporate strategy. Ensure initiatives are scoped, organized, and resourced with clear success definitions. Oversee account strategy development for managed accounts to identify opportunities and expand use of Bentley technologies. Coach sales teams to improve effectiveness in account strategy development. Lead on at-with" initiatives within the account portfolio. Build and manage sales pipeline and forecast all revenue through rigorous account planning, executing the Bentley Sales Process, and using Salesforce as the daily sales tool and reporting system. Review pipeline regularly and maintain up-to-date pipeline status. Set and track individual sales targets and goals with a team of Account Managers. Empower colleagues to take responsibility for their jobs and goals, providing regular feedback including through 1:1 meetings. Support and coach the team in negotiating sales and/or service agreements. Guide them to develop the best deal for Bentley and the account, from opportunity creation to closure, including deal desk or proposal review processes. Cultivate a workplace culture aligned with Bentley’s mission and values; promote a collaborative, cross-functional approach across internal stakeholders to benefit accounts. Execute performance management and support colleague development to meet productivity, quality, and goal expectations. Guide and direct team members in career development, conduct regular 1:1s, and ensure ongoing education in support of business objectives. Work cross-functionally with success management, solution engineering and services, marketing, product management, and colleague success to drive business goals forward. Promote Bentley Systems’ vision, strategy, and value proposition to designers, engineers, architects, contractors, and owners to help accounts meet or exceed business objectives. Maintain a high knowledge level of the company’s solutions and services. This role requires up to 50% travel. This is a full-time people management role requiring collaboration with direct reports, peers, leadership, and other colleagues. Requires sitting or standing at a computer as part of the work. Qualifications
7-10 years of quota achievement in Enterprise SaaS sales in the infrastructure and/or related Engineering fields; 2+ years leading a sales team. Knowledge of the AEC space. Ability to develop and execute strategic plans, align resources, and adapt to changing market conditions. Strong ability to cascade a connected vision, strategy, and goals across levels; excellent communication to leverage Bentley’s offerings and models to achieve the vision; set appropriate team goals. Proven ability to execute cross-functionally and align goals with other teams to deliver results. Experience in setting performance expectations, coaching, and providing feedback for continuous improvement. Accountability for team performance and results. Action-oriented with problem-solving and organizational skills; able to adapt to change. Continuous improvement mindset with data-driven decision making. Ability to lead and motivate individuals and managers to perform at a high level consistently. Courage to make difficult decisions for business success. Experience using data for analysis, insights, and reporting; proficiency in Microsoft Office; PowerBI/Salesforce preferred. What We Offer
