The Communications Manager will develop and lead strategic communications through storytelling, earned media, and influencer relations by creating marketing content to reach and engage new consumers. They will lead strategy and execution for communications across the region for their portfolios, positioning and delivering an effective message across third-party and owned media channels (social media, web, TV, radio, and print) to enhance the brand image and relevance for target audiences. The role acts as the "conductor of the orchestra" by collaborating with cross functional experts in the media network to lead projects and implement Paid, Earned, Managed & Owned (PEMO) plans within sports, culture, brand projects, content initiatives, and beverage product innovations. They take full responsibility for earned media activation by building relationships with traditional outlets and social influencer amplification. They will represent Red Bull\'s voice with consumers and ensure consistent brand representation in Marketing, Media Network, and Communications activations. Ensure regional communication plans use effective media tactics to drive earned media coverage, traditional and earned social media, reaching new consumers daily across the portfolios you lead. The department typically acts as the media network lead for marketing events and activations in the region, especially projects with an earned outcome. Responsibilities include assembling the Media Captains team and developing the complete media plan (PEMO PLAN) for each project where the communications team serves as the "Media Captain." The plan must be approved by Santa Monica communications and programming. The Senior Manager of Communications will lead certain portfolios regionally and serve as the central point of contact for media-related projects within their portfolio. Develop an in-depth understanding of local consumers\' media consumption habits and related media markets to create efficient and effective regional marketing plans. Build and nurture a network of editors, journalists, freelance writers, social media producers, and photographers to bring content to life. Always On Activity
The Communications team collaborates with field marketing and regional marketing to identify ideas with strong media potential. The regional team works with Santa Monica experts to transform ideas into fully developed projects or media products and can be incorporated into BP, A Limitless Pitch, or the MNLT monthly rolling projects fund. Ongoing activities include athlete stories and national year-long campaigns. They work with media relations to extract relevant information from the region for pitching to major national media outlets, both traditional and social. "Always On" involves FMEDL earned content for athletes, FORBS, and collegiate programs. Daily engagement with consumers through earned social outreach requires coordination with production, creator marketing, and sports marketing. Campaign Execution
Define objectives, goals, messages, and strategies for each project. Whether serving as the Media Captain or the communications lead, this is an ongoing responsibility. Identify suitable media amplification channels for each project or campaign. Serve as the Red Bull Media Liaison in the region, identifying stories and media opportunities that resonate with your consumers. Measure media outcomes through a mini PIR or full PIR, in consultation with Santa Monica leads. Communicate success, failures, and learnings with the Media Network and marketing teams. Keep SAMO informed of opportunities that could be enhanced nationally and globally. Field Oversight
The communications team is the main point of contact for media inquiries from the regional field team. You will assist by providing access to a list of agencies, videographers, photographers, and media production companies to aid minor media projects. Coaching and guiding the field will be essential. This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa. Base salary : $85,360 - $128,040 + cash incentives. Actual offers may vary by experience. The base pay range may be modified. Benefits
