Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Case Manager to join our team and support our attorneys through all phases of pre-litigation and some litigation. If you are passionate about client advocacy and have experience as a Claims Adjuster or Personal Injury Case Manager/Legal Assistant, this role is a fit for you.

Location: Massachusetts (onsite preferred; hybrid or remote considered for the right candidate located in Massachusetts).

What You'll Do

Own the docket: Manage a full slate of pre-litigation injury files and early-stage litigation from intake through signed release with minimal attorney touchpoints. Drive negotiations: Analyze coverage, build demands, and negotiate with adjusters to hit or beat settlement and cycle-time targets. Guide the client experience: Serve as the primary contact for clients and medical providers, provide updates, gather records, and coach clients on treatment milestones. Control the paperwork: Order, audit, and summarize medical bills and liens; track deadlines; maintain digital files in a case-management system. Coordinate finalization: Finalize lien resolutions, draft closing statements, and coordinate disbursements to wrap cases and maintain referrals.

What You Need

At least two years of bodily-injury insurance claims experience handling full liability evaluation and settlement authority of $50,000 or more; or at least five years of plaintiff-side PI case management in a high-volume firm with direct settlement negotiations. Currently located in Massachusetts. Proven ability to independently move a docket of 60+ pre-litigation files from intake to signed release, including demand drafting, lien resolution, and final disbursement. Solid grasp of medical terminology; ability to read, summarize, and value treatment records and bills without attorney guidance. Strong negotiation results meeting or exceeding firm targets and cycle-time expectations. Understanding of state PI statutes, comparative-fault rules, lien subrogation, and coverage triggers. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and at least one cloud case-management platform (e.g., Filevine, Litify, Clio) with ability to generate custom reports. Exceptional client-facing communication skills and the ability to coordinate with adjusters, providers, and opposing counsel. Bachelor’s degree, paralegal certificate, claims-adjuster license, or equivalent training in claims, law, or healthcare documentation. Availability to be in the office during onboarding and then operate with minimal supervision while meeting weekly productivity metrics with the managing attorney.

What You Get

A full-time role with opportunities to grow and contribute to meaningful cases. Comprehensive benefits: Dental, vision, and health insurance, plus supplemental insurance and paid time off. A supportive environment that values collaboration, innovation, and professional development. Competitive salary: $70,000–$80,000 per year plus commission. Remote option: hybrid or remote considered for the right candidate who resides in Massachusetts.
