Your greatest work is ahead! We are in search of a Lead Substation Engineer to join our diverse and fast-paced Chicago, IL organization. As a core team member, you will be interacting with various electric utility disciplines, playing a valuable part in leading and designing high voltage utility substation projects. Hybrid Schedule: for the Chicago, IL team (2-4 days week in office). Successful candidates can look forward to a fast paced, diverse work environment and flexible work hours/work arrangements as well as managers who will encourage career development and growth including: What you will do
Lead conceptual and detailed HV and MV Substation design for medium to large scale utilities/substations (including basic layout, electrical arrangement, one line, three line drawings, plan-section, grounding, AC and DC system drawings) Take complete ownership of each project, including management of technical design, staffing, schedule, and budget. Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with the internal teams and clients to meet project objectives. Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse team of engineers, designers, and drafters. Develop and review project proposals, including scopes of work and cost estimates. Perform Quality Control reviews on medium to large substation projects Continually improve and maximize team quality and efficiency. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or other related degree Eight (8+) plus years of direct experience in substation design You Might Also Have
Registered Professional Engineer (P.E) license Master’s degree in related field Experience leading a project team What we do
