Overview
Cyber Security Engineer III with Security Clearance This position is contingent upon funding with an expected start date of December 2025. SECRET Clearance required. SRG is seeking an Expert Cyber Security Engineer to capture and refine information security requirements and ensure that the requirements are integrated into information technology component products and information systems through purposeful security architecting, design, development, and configuration. On-site only, no telework. Assists with leading development teams working to design and develop information systems or upgrade legacy systems. Responsibilities
Capture and refine information security requirements and ensure integration into IT component products and information systems through security architecting, design, development, and configuration. Assist with leading development teams to design and develop information systems or upgrade legacy systems. Conduct product research and support Analysis of Alternative (AoA) activities to independently identify the most appropriate security solutions. Assist with leading the development of system concepts, contribute to the capability phase of the systems development lifecycle, and translate technology and environmental conditions (e.g., law and regulation) into system security designs and processes. Assist with leading the development and documentation of Security Architectures, Roadmaps, and investments. Oversee the work of Senior-, Mid-, and Junior-level contractor Cyber Security Engineers. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Cyber Operations, Cyber Engineering, Information System, Information Technology, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics with a concentration in Computer Science, or equivalent to above disciplines. DoD 8570.01-M in accordance with (IAW) DFARS 252.239-7001 Baseline Certification, minimum IAT Level III. A combined total of ten (10) years of full-time professional experience in the following skillsets/disciplines: Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Total Ship Computing Environment (TSCE) experience; Computer security, military system specifications, and DoD cybersecurity policies; Risk Management Framework (RMF), and the implementation of Cybersecurity and IA boundary defense techniques and various IA-enabled appliances (e.g., Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Switch/Routers, Cross Domain Solutions, EMASS, Endpoint Security Solution). Performing STIG implementation; Performing vulnerability assessments with the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution tool; Remediating vulnerability findings to include implementing vendor patches on both Linux and Windows Operating systems.
