The Procurement Ops Manager, Fruit Prep and Plant Based is part of the North America (NORAM) One Direct team, reporting to the Category Activation Director, Fruit Prep & Plant Based of North America. The main activities for this role are to support procurement related activities for both the Fruit Preparations and Plant Based ingredients categories and to work closely in collaboration with the category director and buyers. The position is based in either Broomfield, CO, or White Plains, NY, US. Salary range: $79,000 – $114,000 USD. The exact salary offered will depend on factors including candidate’s experience, location, internal equity, and market conditions. Manage Fruit Prep waste impact between Danone plants and suppliers. Own waste mitigation strategy, including design and implementation, using value levers to deliver lower costs and more efficient processes. Support category RFPs and bid analysis with local and global category buyers. Maintain expertise in tools and processes used for local procurement operations. Develop, implement, and maintain continuous improvement SOPs across functional tools and cross-functional stakeholders. Manage commercial term records and reflect terms accurately in SAP. Guide and manage new material suppliers through vendor onboarding steps at Danone. Create indirect POs for procurement activity and manage their lifecycle. Maintain supplier inventory records to enhance supply chain visibility. Support buyers with timely responses to contract balancing needs and other analytics. Lead discussions with internal and external stakeholders to minimize business risk. Assist with tracking and reporting of KPIs and supplier scorecards. Lead cross-functional productivity and efficiency projects. Participate in sustainability initiatives related to the managed categories. Support material planning escalations and help secure the supply chain in a dynamic global environment. Work cross-functionally with Global, Project Management, R&I, Quality Assurance, Regulatory/Legal, Planning, Finance, and Brand/Marketing. Collaborate across other direct material categories to unlock innovation and efficiency. Identify and implement incremental productivity opportunities within Fruit Prep and Plant Based categories. Qualifications
Business, Agriculture or Engineering MS or Bachelor's degree. 3-5+ years in direct materials procurement (food industry sourcing a plus). Strong analytical skills. Driven to compliance, alignment and standardization; highly organized and systematic. Strong communication skills with business background; proven written and verbal communication, influencing and stakeholder management. Ability to operate in a complex and fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge and experience in Purchasing Category Management. Team player, pragmatic, and accountable; strong interpersonal skills.
