Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Program Director is responsible for tasks related to the overall operations of the StepStone Program as well as ensures compliance of accreditation guidelines. This position is responsible for the supervision of trainers, administrative staff, and administrative supervision of case managers.

Responsibilities

Performs as a clinical representative of the agency.

Reviews and processes all referrals for possible admissions within the agency.

Follows up on all referrals received and collaborates with foster parent recruiters/trainers to identify appropriate home for placement.

Requests and secures all documentation received to complete placement/admission of a child/youth with the agency needed at intake.

Assigns a case manager to all child/youth in agency population.

Conducts program team meetings and other outside organizational meetings sponsored by the state, surrounding counties, managed care providers or foster care networks.

Supervises tasks completed by the Case Managers.

Keeps office and work area in a neat and organized manner.

Maintains confidential information related to children/youth in care and foster parents licensed with StepStone.

Assists with quarterly file audits of child/youth files and utilizes information obtained to improve compliance and quality of child/youth file.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum of MSW, MSSW, OR CSW; LPCC, LPCA, LCSW, MFTA, or LMFT in addition to degree requirements

At least a B.A. or B.S. in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice or Human Services with five years relevant experience to agency clientele, education, and related training can be substituted

Two years supervisory experience

Prefer LPCC, LPCA, LCSW, MFTA, or LMFT

Ability to communicate verbally and in writing

Must have good organizational skills and attention to detail, proven supervisory skills, and be capable of working flexible hours

Familiarity with agency intake/placement procedures and guidelines, necessary forms, and standard intake procedures

Knowledge of standard state rules and regulations regarding child-placing agents

Ability to coordinate and maintain client files and agency forms

Strong computer software and program skills

Must be able to travel between service sites, staying overnight as necessary
