Overview Job Title: BESS Project Management Consultant
Duration: 1 year contract + extension/opportunity for conversion
Location: On-site in Juno Beach, FL at corporate HQ (relocation assistance available)
Rate: $45-55/hr (1.5x OT)
This position manages multiple Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects within the Engineering and Construction Business Unit, spanning the United States and Canada. Occasional travel to project locations and to support Development with local public hearings may be required.
Responsibilities
Coordinate daily project activities across internal and external resources to support Development, Engineering, Estimating, Supply Chain, Scheduling, and Construction from pre-construction (Early Stage) through Construction. Manage resources to align with project schedules and ensure key activities are prioritized appropriately. Coordinate with environmental, regulatory, cultural, land acquisition, interconnection, and other stakeholders to identify and incorporate project variables. Develop the project technical scope and optimize variables to improve technical and financial feasibility. Support origination and development teams with PPA and GIA negotiations; assist with jurisdictional needs. Coordinate engineering, estimating, and procurement requirements; support the E&C engineering team with technical design attributes. Assist the E&C cost estimating team in developing financial models; leverage market data to ensure model health. Present financial models to business units and manage them through executive budget approvals. Source, negotiate, and execute contracts for critical services (geotechnical, surveying, engineering, EPC/PC construction). Uphold and represent E&C interests on assigned projects; engage with executives, suppliers, regulators, local communities, and other stakeholders. Utilize software applications to manage data, deliverables, and key indicators; support process improvements and scaling initiatives. Ensure smooth transition of projects moving to Construction with an inclusive, executable construction plan. Qualifications
Excellent project management, communication, financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 2 Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Finance/Accounting with related experience in renewable energy project engineering and construction (preferred).
