Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Data Scientist in our Medicare Stars Clinical Data Science Team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing complex machine learning models in a Hadoop and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment to improve the quality of our Medicare Stars program. As the Principal Data Scientist, you will lead a team of data scientists and machine learning experts to develop innovative solutions that drive improvements in healthcare quality measures and performance metrics. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, domain experts, and business stakeholders, to understand requirements, define objectives, and deliver actionable insights. Responsibilities
Lead the development of complex machine learning models in a Hadoop and GCP environment to improve Medicare Stars quality measures and performance metrics. Coordinate and mentor a team of data scientists and ML experts to deliver innovative solutions that drive healthcare quality improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data engineers, domain experts, and business stakeholders) to understand requirements, define objectives, and deliver actionable insights. Qualifications
Extensive experience (5+ years) in developing and deploying machine learning models in a production environment, preferably in healthcare or related industries. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and experience with ML libraries/frameworks (TensorFlow, scikit-learn, PyTorch). Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with experience in services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and AI Platform. Advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate). Expertise in optimizing and scaling big data processing frameworks; mastery in working with NoSQL and GCP databases for unstructured and semi-structured data. Experience implementing MLOps practices for model deployment and monitoring in the GCP environment. Experience integrating machine learning models with existing systems through APIs in the GCP environment. Equal Opportunity
