Our Orlando, Florida, office is looking for a Civil Operator or Designer with 8+ years of experience to join our Land Development team! Responsibilities
Implement and manage drafting and plan preparation standards Develop technical drawings and plans for commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential Land Development projects Implementing and managing AutoCAD drafting and plan preparation standards Produce and quality-check drawings and plans of substantial complexity; may perform some multifaceted calculations Work with minimal supervision on day-to-day tasks Apply knowledge of engineering principles and suggest design changes Maintain drawing database Supervise and train CAD staff Coordinate work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards Qualifications
8+ years of relevant experience in Land Development Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D High school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred) Ability to set up and manage printing/plotting settings Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills, and desire to learn Ability to work independently and with a team Willingness to mentor and teach others Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter Why Kimley-Horn?
