Electric Utility Project Manager

who will collaborate with lead engineers and account managers on substation engineering projects for various electric utility clients in the Northern United States. As part of our esteemed team within the Power Delivery Solutions (PDS) division, you will provide consulting services for comprehensive engineering designs of electrical transmission, substation, and distribution projects nationwide. Our management is dedicated to your career development and growth opportunities, including: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Formal mentorship programs Developmental leadership training Technical upskilling opportunities Management advancement possibilities Primary Responsibilities: Lead project teams to complete the engineering design of electric infrastructure projects Oversee overall project performance and reporting Manage project costs, schedules, and scope within approved limits, including developing recovery plans as necessary Ensure compliance with contracts and project specifications Coordinate with Engineering Leads and Managers to track and deliver client expectations Document adherence to the quality control process Interface directly with clients and internal management to resolve issues and report on progress Communicate effectively with clients, internal project teams, and subcontractors Prepare bid documents and develop cost estimates and responses to Requests for Proposal Manage monthly invoicing, accruals, and accounts receivable Identify opportunities for business development Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field A minimum of five years of relevant Project Management experience Familiarity with the electric power industry and key business issues Proven experience in planning, managing, and reporting project financial performance, budgets, scopes, and schedules Ability to effectively plan, organize, direct, and track technical projects Strong team collaboration skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to interact effectively with customers Outstanding organizational and problem-solving abilities Experience with project management software (e.g., Workfront, MS Project, P6) Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Willingness to travel periodically (less than 5%); valid U.S. driver's license required Preferred hybrid office attendance (2-3 days in office, remaining days working from home) at one of our offices: Framingham, MA; Walled Lake, MI Preferred Qualifications: PMP Certification Direct experience with electric power infrastructure projects A history of team success in consulting environments Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency Experience in a supervisory role Please note that sponsorship and related immigration benefits are not available for this position.
