Position Overview The

Lead HVAC Technician

will oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, with a focus on VRF/VRV systems. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Install, service, and repair VRF/VRV HVAC systems (Samsung, LG, Daikin, Mitsubishi, etc.).

Perform startups, commissioning, and diagnostics to verify system performance.

Conduct routine maintenance (filter changes, refrigerant checks, coil cleaning, etc.).

Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with refrigerant flow, electrical systems, and controls.

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer manuals.

Handle refrigerants in compliance with

EPA regulations

and industry standards.

Program and calibrate system controllers for efficient operation.

Ensure compliance with building codes, safety protocols, and company procedures.

Deliver excellent customer service through clear communication and issue resolution.

Maintain accurate service records, reports, and parts usage logs.

Train, mentor, and supervise HVAC technicians to foster technical growth and independence.

Qualifications

5+ years

of HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair experience, with proven expertise in VRF systems.

Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, and control wiring.

EPA 608 Certification

(or willingness to obtain).

Proficiency in reading technical diagrams and schematics.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and lead a team.

Physically capable of lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and working in varied environments.

Valid driver's license (required).
