Customer Service Associates

to join our FHA Resource Centers in Indianapolis, IN. As part of our Customer Service team, you will play a vital role in supporting the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Office of Single-Family Housing in their mission to create strong, sustainable, inclusive communities and quality affordable homes for all. In your role, you will assist renters, homebuyers, and homeowners with their housing inquiries. What We Offer: Full-time opportunities (30 - 40 hours per week).

Shifts from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm ET in Indianapolis, IN (subject to change based on customer needs).

Possibility of split shifts, subject to manager approval.

As a Customer Service Associate, your responsibilities will include: Responding to calls and emails from the public regarding housing and FHA mortgages.

Using the knowledge base and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to address customer inquiries.

Delivering outstanding customer service in a high-volume call center and effectively handling customer complaints.

Documenting customer communications via email and phone in our internal database.

To excel as a Customer Service Associate, you will need: The ability to navigate multiple computer systems and applications while utilizing search tools to provide accurate information to our clients.

Strong time management skills and reliability.

Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Teams).

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including telephone etiquette.

Keyboarding proficiency of at least 40 words per minute.

Required Qualifications: High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.

A minimum of 2 years of experience in a contact center or telephone customer service setting.

The ability to successfully obtain a Public Trust Security clearance, including a credit check and background investigation.

Preferred Qualifications: Background in Call Center (Omnichannel) environments.

Experience in rental property management or mortgage servicing, particularly in handling customer complaints.
