Operator Assistant
Warehouses raw materials and finished products. Loads out-going trucks with finished product. Receives incoming purchased goods. Shuttles product to and from warehouses.
Major Responsibilities:
- Check stock inventory physically and update into system to validate that restocking is in order.
- Drives truck to and from warehouses
- Loads and unloads finished goods and packaging
- Receives incoming raw materials and draws samples
- Moves bulk supplied raw materials from railcars to silo storage
- Performs duties in accordance with the Handling, Storage QOP
- Properly stores and keeps records of regrind and globs
- Assists in Production Department when needed
- Performs other duties required by the QMS, as assigned
- Conducts duties according to plant safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Minimum high school education, or equivalent, and 2 to 5 years related experience
- CDL A driver's license, no restrictions
- Minimum of 1 year experience transporting, hooking up/ off a 53' box trailer
- Understanding of plant safety rules and regulations, particularly the Hazard Communication program
- Computer skills
- Current fork truck certification
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50lbs
- Ability to work in 100 degree environment (summer months)
