The IMRIS Surgical Theatre enables intraoperative imaging directly within operating rooms. We are currently searching for a Supply Chain & Warehouse Specialist to join our team. This role will be performed on-site and is based in the Boston metropolitan area. Please note: There is no relocation offered for this role. The ideal candidate should reside in the Greater Boston, Massachusetts area.
The Supply Chain & Warehouse Specialist is a highly experienced team member who serves as a primary point of contact for day-to-day warehouse and supply chain activities. This role performs independently with minimal oversight, and is responsible for managing and carrying out a wide range of activities to include: Purchase Order placement & management, Shipping & Receiving, Inventory management, Work Order creation & management, Work Order fulfillment. In this role, the ideal candidate will be expected to lead by example, provide guidance and expertise to peers, troubleshoot issues, and look for opportunities to continuously improve their areas of oversight.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supply Chain
Responsible for the creation and management of Purchase Orders within the ERP system to support new product development, production, and facility needs.
Communicate Purchase Orders with suppliers and ensure timely confirmations are received
Follow up with suppliers as needed to expedite/defer, and check on past due Purchase Orders.
Communicate Purchase Order status, any changes, and expected delivery dates with internal stakeholder(s)
Facilitate and maintain healthy supplier relationships
Complete and maintain appropriate documents, logs, and correspondence that support the procurement function
Responsible for the creation, release, and maintenance of Work Orders within the ERP system to support new product development and production.
Monitors work order completion
Communicate Work Order and delivery information to appropriate cross functional teams
Proactively and collaboratively work with staff to resolve material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions.
Maintain Procurement and Planning ERP data
Other duties as assigned
Warehouse
Troubleshoot and coordinate with carriers, vendors, or internal team members to resolve issues related to shipping, receiving, inventory, and logistics
Collaborate with other departments to support internal material movement and priorities
Unload and inspect goods for damage, receive incoming inventory, verify accuracy against packing slips and Purchase Orders, and ensure items are placed correctly and safely in designated areas
Fulfill inventory requisitions and deliver materials to designated departments
Pick, pack, and ship orders accurately and efficiently to meet internal and external customer demands and shipping deadlines
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with carriers
Determine appropriate shipping methods based on product type, destination, and cost
Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and international shipping forms
Maintain adequate stock of shipping materials and supplies
Operate all material handling and warehouse equipment properly and safely
Perform basic housekeeping activities in order to maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment
Other duties as assigned
Quality Systems
Support creating items and capturing key item attributes in the eQMS / PLM system.
May support releasing records into the eQMS or assisting with record retention.
May support processing receiving inspection and other production related records
Must adhere to the Quality Management System and its requirements
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
Reports to the Sr. Procurement Manager
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, performing supply chain and warehouse operations; experience as a team lead highly desired
Strong understanding & knowledge of best practices regarding purchasing and planning processes, inventory control, shipping/receiving processes and warehouse operations
Experience in medical device or highly regulated environment
Strong understanding and experience using ERP Systems
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment with a positive and respectful attitude
Flexible and adaptable to change- does not require rigid rules and can effectively function in a fluid environment utilizing
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Self-motivated, strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook
Strong oral and written communication skills
Physical ability to lift 3545 lbs. regularly and up to 60 lbs. occasionally
Certification and hands-on experience operating forklifts, manual pallet jacks, and electric pallet jacks
