BRIGHTON CULTURAL ARTS COMMISSION INC A NON-PROFIT CORPORATION, Brighton, Colorado, United States, 80601
About Us:
Brighton Cultural Arts Connection is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that hosts fun events, art shows, and collaborative activities that connect the community through the arts, foster creativity, and engage the residents of Brighton and nearby communities.
We have limited funding, so we depend heavily on volunteers to fulfill many roles in the organization. For example, we rely on volunteers to help us staff booths at community festivals and fairs, plan our annual calendar of events, organize and promote our programs, work the sign-in/sign-out tables at art shows, maintain our records, etc.
We are seeking a passionate and organized Volunteer Coordinator to help recruit, manage, and engage volunteers for these programs and events. This person will play a vital role in supporting our mission by ensuring that our volunteers have meaningful and rewarding experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruit, screen, and onboard volunteers for events, programs, and administrative tasks
Maintain accurate volunteer records and schedules using digital tools (Google Sheets, etc.)
Coordinate volunteer assignments and communicate expectations clearly
Serve as the primary point of contact for volunteer inquiries and concerns
Collaborate with the board to assess organizational volunteer needs
Assist with planning and staffing community events, gallery shows, and workshops
Track volunteer hours and prepare monthly reports for the board and for use in grant applications
Qualifications: Passion for the arts and community service
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
Prior volunteer coordination or nonprofit experience is a plus
Familiarity with Brighton and the local arts community is helpful
Benefits: Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the local arts scene
Build leadership and project management experience
Network with local artists, creatives, and community leaders
Flexible schedule and ability to work remotely when needed
Community service hours for time spent volunteering (this was listed as a virtual opporutinity in the past, but we really need someone within 20 miles of Brighton for this role)
