Newell Corporation is currently hiring a Metrology QC Inspector.

As a Metrology QC Inspector at Newell Corp, you will be responsible for completing formal first part inspections, in process inspections and helping create and maintain quality documents through the product life cycle. These inspections will primarily be metrology based with the use of Coordinate Measuring Machines such as Romer arms, laser trackers, laser scanners, and Gantry & Bridge CMMs.

Metrology QC Inspector Responsibilities:

Read blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services.

Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final product to the specifications.

Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.

Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.

Interpret CMM, Romer arm, and laser scanner results to accurately compare products to engineering drawings/specifications.

Create and edit CMM programs in both online and offline mode.

Metrology QC Inspector Skills/Experience:

Strong understanding of technical drawings and drafting standards.

Strong understanding of GD&T and its practical application.

1+ years of experience using articulating arms for measuring activities in a production environment

1+ years of experience using laser trackers for measuring activities in a production environment

1+ years of experience doing “bench top” inspection in a production environment

Familiarity with ISO9001/AS9100 quality systems and documents.

Experience programming and/or operating CMMs

Experience maintaining and auditing an AS9100 quality system

Pay Range:

$30/hr - $40/hr
