New Creations of Life is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality social, educational, and therapeutic services to youth, low-income families, seniors, veterans, homeless individuals, and the surrounding communities. Our goal is to uplift and support those in need by offering essential resources, assistance, and opportunities to help them thrive. Volunteer Role Overview:
As a Food Pantry Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our community food pantry. This position offers an opportunity to make a direct impact by helping to distribute food to individuals and families in need, ensuring that they have access to nourishing meals. Volunteers will work alongside our team to organize, prepare, and distribute food to ensure a smooth and efficient service for our community members. Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the organization and sorting of food donations
Prepare food packages for distribution to clients
Support with food inventory tracking and storage management
Help clients by providing a positive and compassionate experience during their visit
Maintain a clean and organized pantry space
Assist with unloading and organizing food deliveries
Support outreach efforts as needed to raise awareness about pantry services
Qualifications:
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Positive attitude and a commitment to helping others
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Physical stamina to assist with lifting, sorting, and organizing food
Previous experience in community service or food distribution is a plus, but not required
