Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Senior Accountant with a strong focus on account reconciliations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records by performing and reviewing complex reconciliations across multiple accounts. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and a commitment to continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Perform timely and accurate reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts, including but not limited to cash, inventory, intercompany, fixed assets, and accruals.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciling items, ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including journal entry preparation and review.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide support during internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (AP, AR, Inventory, Operations) to ensure data consistency and resolve discrepancies.
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of reconciliation processes and internal controls.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline and automate reconciliation procedures.
  • Lead 1–2 staff accountants, providing guidance, training, and performance management.

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward certification is a plus.
  • 4–7 years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on account reconciliations.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting practices.
  • Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite).
  • Strong time management, organizational skills, and adaptable and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Continuous improvement mentality.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
