We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join our small, dynamic team. This role offers significant exposure to high-level executives and provides opportunities for professional growth and advancement.

Responsibilities

• Post account payables and maintain vendor files.
• Prepare expense reports.
• Reconcile travel and credit card statements.
• Reconcile monthly bank statements and investment portfolio statements.
• Maintain monthly depreciation and amortization schedules.
• Prepare monthly journal entries.
• Conduct month-end and year-end closings.
• Track royalty payments and update the licensing database and worksheets.
• Assist with the annual audit by preparing schedules and supporting documentation as needed.
• Respond to information requests internally and externally as needed.
• Support colleagues and assist as needed.
  
  

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related fields.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting.
• 1-3 years of experience in Full Cycle Accounting.
• 1-3 years of experience working with Financial Statements.
• Sound understanding of accounting principles (Accrual Basis and Cash Basis).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Comfortable working in a small office environment.
  
  

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Studying for or having a current CPA License.
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Experience with accounting software packages, preferably SAP.
• Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
  
  

Work Environment

The position is based in a small office environment, working within a tight-knit accounting team. The office promotes a collaborative atmosphere, providing significant exposure to high-level executives. This role offers a long-term incentive plan for profit sharing and the potential for advancement, as there will be a transition in leadership in the near future.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $39.00 - $49.00/hr.
