Our client, an Early Learning Environment, is hiring experienced and enthusiastic Head teachers for our Infant and Preschool classrooms! We are seeking applicants who are nurturing, patient, creative, and passionate about teaching and learning.


Head Teacher Job Description:


  • Work with other teachers to implement lessons aligned with the school's curriculum
  • Manage classrooms of 5 to 10 children
  • Adhere to daily schedules, complying with DOH regulations
  • Meet regularly with other staff to enhance lessons
  • Engage in regularly scheduled professional development sessions
  • Maintain communication with parents


Head Teacher Qualifications:


  • BA, or MS in Early Childhood Education or an education-related field in Early Childhood Education is preferred
  • Knowledge of current teaching philosophies and educational research
  • Ability to meet all physical requirements of working with young children, including lifting, walking up and down stairs, and sitting on the floor
  • Must be articulate and possess strong written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate to create and implement lessons


Recommended (Please include in Cover Letter)


Creative talents or expertise in technology, science, art, music, cooking, second languages, dance, yoga, etc.

Familiarity with Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, Bedford Stuyvesant, and/or Downtown Brooklyn neighborhoods
