Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Electrician License for the State of Texas

• Clean and valid state driver's license

• Knowledge of state and local building codes

• Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and other electrical regulations

• Ability to lift over 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in enclosed spaces

Skills

• Strong analytical and organizational abilities

• Effective communication of technical information to clients and coworkers

• Problem-solving skills with various electrical controls and systems

• Ability to select correct materials for work assignments

• Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word

Duties & Responsibilities

• Work in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment

• Test and troubleshoot electrical systems using voltmeters, oscilloscopes, ohmmeters, wiring diagrams, schematics, sketches, and blueprints

• Communicate effectively with team members

• Plan and layout work projects from diagrams or verbal instructions

• Document actions, testing results, observations, and diagnoses

• Track inventory of supplies, equipment, tools, and machinery

• Repair electrical issues by replacing or installing components, wiring, or devices

• Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company guidelines

• Operate vehicles and powered equipment (trucks, ATVs, ladders, scaffolding, platforms, lifts)

• Complete assigned work orders

• Participate in non-electrical work when required

• Coordinate and execute preventive maintenance inspections and repairs

• Respond to emergency power failures

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by site management

• Work evenings and weekends as needed for shutdowns or maintenance

• Be available for overtime and on-call duties

• May be the only maintenance staff member on duty during certain shifts

• May be required to work extended hours during emergencies or priority situations
