Job Opportunity - HR Generalist
We're currently partnering with our client in the manufacturing industry to support their search for a Human Resources Generalist. This individual will play a key role in day-to-day HR operations, ensuring compliance, supporting employee lifecycle processes, and acting as a liaison between staff and leadership. It's an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a structured, people-driven environment and brings a balance of administrative, compliance, and employee relations experience.
Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, and completion of employment documentation
Maintain and update the HRIS, ensuring data integrity and alignment with payroll
Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, initial applicant review, and EEO tracking
Oversee maintenance of employee files and records in compliance with company policy and confidentiality regulations
Serve as point of contact for benefits coordination, including open enrollment and broker communications
Assist with union communications and documentation; participate in bargaining sessions as needed
Manage and track employee paperwork related to leaves of absence, workers' comp, COBRA, and employment verifications
Monitor organizational compliance with state/federal employment regulations and site-specific legal posting requirements
Provide administrative support to senior leadership on HR documents, reporting, and manual updates
Help coordinate employee wellness initiatives and engagement programs in partnership with benefits providers
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
Minimum 5 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
Proficient in HRIS systems (Paylocity a plus) and Microsoft Office
Working knowledge of employment law, benefits administration, and onboarding processes
Prior experience in a unionized environment is a strong plus
Strong communication, organizational, and confidentiality skills
