Description

Responsibilities

  • Develops, maintains, and oversees all functions within the company’s human resource systems, business processes, and procedures. Systems include employee benefits, communication, compensation, compliance/security, employee relations, leave administration, onboarding, performance review, recognition, recordkeeping, recruitment, safety, training, and wellness. Oversees company HRIS program.
  • Supervises HR Generalist and provides leadership guidance to all company supervisors. Manages HR by establishing department KPIs, goals, budget, job descriptions, and job standards.
  • Develops, reviews, and maintains HR-owned company policies, HR Department policies, emergency response procedures, employee benefit program policies, employee handbook, and supervisor handbook. Monitors and ensures compliance with applicable laws with access to external resources when necessary.
  • Ensures all HR systems, policies, and procedures meet SOC II controls, Security Risk Assessment, and the Compliance Program Assessment. Actively participates in audits and assessments. Reviews employment background checks and credit history screenings.
  • Develops and maintains cost-effective employee benefit programs. Oversees benefit administration conducted by HR Generalist.
  • Works with the Finance Controller to develop and maintain Nemadji’s compensation system with annual analysis of wage ranges. Provides insight and guidance for new job descriptions, organization chart, and wage increases.
  • Develops and maintains employee performance review system. Provides guidance to supervisors and Executive Team during performance issues, leaves of absence transitions, and complicated terminations.
  • Develops and maintains effective recruitment and retention strategies. Oversees and signs offers of employment. Promotes a positive work culture which recognizes and rewards employees and provides career growth opportunities.
  • Promotes positive employee relations by providing safe communication and feedback systems, addressing grievances, and assisting with conflict resolution.
  • Ensures a safe work environment, investigates and promptly addresses all safety concerns. Oversees interactive process for reasonable accommodations and provides guidance to supervisors implementing approved accommodations. Designs and oversees employee wellness initiatives.
  • Maintains all day-to-day functions in the absence of the HR Generalist.

Requirements

• Proficient with MS Office applications and experience with an HRIS program.

• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Strong knowledge of HR systems and practices including full understanding of labor laws and large group benefit laws.

• Strong in leadership, team management, time management, project management, organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.

• Must be willing to work onsite at the Bruno location Monday – Friday with a potential hybrid schedule after 6-months.

Minimum Education: Associate’s degree with HR certificate, BA preferred.

Required Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR management with generalized experience in all HR functions.
