About the Role:

The Human Resources Specialist plays a crucial role in fostering a positive workplace culture within the Health Care and Social Assistance industry. This position is responsible for managing various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, and compliance with labor laws. The specialist will work closely with management to develop and implement HR strategies that align with organizational goals. By ensuring effective communication and support for employees, the HR Specialist contributes to employee satisfaction and retention. Ultimately, this role is vital in creating a productive and harmonious work environment that supports the overall mission of the organization. This is a Temp to Hire position.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Qualifying experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a human resources role, preferably in the health care or non-profit sector.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
  • Experience with HR software and applicant tracking systems.
  • Familiarity with employee benefits administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate onboarding and training programs for new employees to ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Address employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives and performance management systems.
