We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team and support our Macon manufacturing operations.

Job Summary

As an HR Generalist, you will play a vital role in supporting our 24/7 manufacturing facility and business departments. This high-impact position involves employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and benefits administration. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable adapting to changing business needs, including occasional flexible work hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise supervisors and managers on disciplinary actions and performance management in alignment with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)

  • Monitor and document disciplinary actions, ensuring consistency with company policies and procedures

  • Collaborate with HR leadership to develop and analyze employee relations metrics, attendance, corrective actions and recommend proactive solutions

  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to support recruitment efforts, including background checks, drug screenings, onboarding paperwork, and orientation

  • Ensure new hires are equipped with the necessary tools, training, and resources for success

  • Maintain accurate onboarding documentation and ensure compliance with legal and company standards

  • Provide backup support for payroll processing and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Minimum of 5 years of HR Generalist experience, with emphasis on employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, and payroll

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of the organization

  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Experience in a unionized work environment is preferred
