Job Description
The Human Resources Generalist plays a pivotal role in identifying and securing top talent to meet organizational staffing needs. This position is responsible for attracting, evaluating, and referring qualified candidates for open roles through a variety of sourcing channels, including recruiting websites, employee referrals, on-site events, and external search firms. Provides administrative and operational support to the HR Manager across a range of functions, including coordinating new hire onboarding, generating routine and ad hoc HR reports, and maintaining accurate employee records within the Paylocity HRIS system. Assists with compliance tracking, benefits administration, and employee communications to ensure smooth HR processes and a positive employee experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition & Recruitment
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for various roles, from job posting to offer acceptance
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and develop sourcing strategies
- Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and coordinate candidate assessments
- Maintain candidate pipelines and proactively source passive talent
Orientation & New Hire Integration
- Facilitate smooth onboarding experiences, including orientation sessions and paperwork
- Ensure compliance with employment eligibility and documentation requirements
- Serve as a point of contact for new hires during their transition into the company
HR Operations & Systems
- Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system (Paylocity)
- Generate HR reports and analytics to support decision-making and compliance
- Assist with benefits administration, leave tracking, and policy implementation
Employee Relations & Support
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits
- Support performance management processes and employee engagement initiatives
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain recruiting and HR practices in full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation for reporting purposes.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong working knowledge of best practices and employment law
- Proficiency with HRIS systems (Paylocity preferred)
- Familiar with LinkedIn recruiter
- Strong Excel and MS Suite skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- 2–4 years of HR experience, with a focus on recruiting and onboarding
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods
- Occasional local travel for meetings, training sessions, or recruiting events
Work Environment:
- Office environment with regular exposure to manufacturing areas
- Speak and listen to others in person and over the phone
- Use keyboard and read from computer screen and reports
- Predictable and reliable attendance required
- Position requires 40 hours/5 days a week in-person at the Company’s facility
