Job Title: Barista

Reports To: Retail Manager

Position Type: Part-Time | Weekend Shifts | Morning Shifts

Job Summary:

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. In this part-time role, you'll prepare a variety of café beverages and baked goods, assist customers with their orders, and help maintain a clean and inviting environment. This role plays a key part in creating the welcoming environment and exceptional service experience that makes the Himalayan Café special.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, baked goods, and specialty beverages to our quality standards

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and customer area

• Provide warm, attentive, and knowledgeable customer service

• Handle transactions using the POS system

• Restock inventory and supplies as needed

• Follow health and safety guidelines and café procedures

• Assist with opening and closing duties

• Communicate effectively with team members and the Retail Manager

Job Qualifications:

• Previous barista or café experience is preferred, but we’re willing to train the right candidate

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic

• Ability to work flexible shifts including mornings, weekends, and holidays

• Capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 25 lbs
